SEE Fest: Not Only About Seeing Movies

SEE Film Fest is not only about seeing movies.

Though it shows the latest and best films from South Eastern Europe, a wonderful side benefit of the five day event is getting to meet the filmmakers, writers, directors, aficionados, artists, and simply natives of the area.

In 2011, after the screening of the Bulgarian traditional music documentary “May It Fill Your Soul” by UCLA's Tim Rice, the amazing musical couple profiled in the movie Ivan and Tzvetanka Varimezov chatted with us and caught us up on what they are doing now.

They were lovely and charming and even invited me to audit the UCLA class they teach. I did attend their upcoming concert as well, and it was such a delight.

The venue is intimate and comfortable with very little hype surrounding it.
You could meet a hunky Greek director or even an Albanian lawyer – you never know! SEE Fest is for everyone.

Don’t miss it this year. I’ll look for you!!
